The R60 Base Station aligns with the RED Directive and complies with essential international standards, including the AIS Base Station Standard IEC 62320-1, Aton Standard IEC 62320-2, and AIS Repeater Standard 62320-3. As defined by IALA, the R60 Base Station serves as the central component of a physical AIS Shore Station. Its primary function is to receive and transmit data to and from AIS/VDES equipped vessels operating within the Base Station's coverage area. The R60 can be seamlessly deployed as a standalone unit or integrated into a network.
Ensuring that the R60 operates with utmost reliability and availability has been a top priority in its development. As a result, it boasts an impressive MTBF of over 100,000 hours. The R60 comes equipped with multiple Ethernet ports, allowing for complete network backup and the ability to reset the base station's power remotely.

For user convenience, a front-mounted colour touch display simplifies monitoring and configuration of the unit. More advanced configuration, monitoring, and remote updates can be accomplished through the built-in web server.
